About Us
Drs. Wisner and Snyder have a combined 47 years of experience. They are active members of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and the local SCDA Coastal District. Both have completed hundreds of hours of Continuing Dental Education in an effort to bring their patients the safest and most modern dental techniques available.
Dr. James B. Wisner graduated from The Honors College at The University of South Carolina in 1996 and received his D.M.D. degree in 2002 from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force for 3 years where he completed an AEGD residency and was certified in Intravenous Conscious Sedation. Dr. Wisner joined Peninsula Dentistry in 2005 and has brought new clinical techniques and technology to complement the doctors’ shared experience. Dr. Wisner and his wife, Kristin, have two adorable children, a son, Reese, and a baby girl, Everley.
Dr. Howard E. Snyder graduated from Emory University in 1970 and received his D.D.S. degree in 1973 from the University of North Carolina School of Dental Medicine. He served as a dentist in the United States Navy for 2 years in San Diego, California. Dr. Snyder has been in private practice at 52 Courtenay Drive for 34 years. Dr. Snyder and his wife, Mary Anne, have two beautiful daughters, Jenna and Nessa, their two precious grandsons, Treyton and Sims, and their son-in-law Richard.

Location/Directions
We are conveniently located at 52 Courtenay Drive directly across the street from the MUSC Wellness Center and ½ block from Roper and MUSC hospitals. We are easily accessible from West Ashley, James and Johns Island, I-26, and The Ravenel Bridge (Mount Pleasant).
There is ample parking reserved for patients directly in front of our office.

New Office
Dr. Wisner, Dr. Snyder, and the staff at Peninsula Dentistry are very pleased to announce the construction of a new dental office. We will all be moving to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility located at 540 Savannah Highway (just past “Ye Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor”). The new office is just three minutes from our current location and will provide MUCH more convenient parking and amenities for our patients. We expect to complete construction in early 2012. We are delighted to offer upgrades for our patients including a beverage station, children’s play area, Wi-Fi internet access, private consultation room, ceiling mounted televisions with headphones, and customizable entertainment options. Don’t worry…both doctors and staff will be making the move, and we will ALWAYS provide the same caring, comfortable, family dental care you have come to expect.
